Our chief goal is to help people achieve a prescence on the Web. We are especially keen to help small businesses, clubs, associations, and the self-employed. You don't have to be web-savvy either, we can sort out everything if you want us to.
We also aim to offer this service at rates which are affordable by those sorts of customers. We can do this because we cut out all the frills that other sites seem to get caught up in. So instead of a Flash intro introducing your site, which people generally skip past, we will allow your visitors to get straight to what they want to find out.
 

The first thing you need to get your web site up and running is an idea of what you want it to do. You should consider what you want your visitors to get out of the site, what you want to get out of your visitors, and how you are going to update the pages (off-line and upload, or on-line). We encourage you to sketch out the basic pages that you want your visitors to access, and this need not be anything more sophisticated than a few drawings on sheets of paper; however we can do the initial concept designs for you if you wish. We will, in any case, produce initial designs for you to approve before starting work on the web site itself.
 

The second thing you'll need is a web host (usually an ISP). It is recommended that you choose one yourself, and we can certainly advise on what you should look for (and which ISPs we prefer). We can also host your site if you don't want the hassle of setting that up yourself - our rates are competetive but not as good as the larger hosting companies.

You should also have considered what domain names you might want to use for your site. Maybe you already have a domain name registered. Registering a domain name is something that you need to do yourself, but it is very easy to do and we will be happy to advise you again. Usually you would register it through your web host as part of the web hosting package, but if you want us to host your page then you can register the domain name separately.
 

One other aspect you need to consider is how you are going to maintain your site, as this has an impact on the design. This also depends on whether you have a dynamic site (data on pages are presented to the user as they request it), or a static site (pages are always the same for all users). A static site is edited off-line by changing specific pages, and then the pages changed are uploaded. A dynamic site can be edited on-line by logging into an administration area of the web site and changing specific data, but this can also be done off-line and then the changes to the data uploaded in one go. Your choice depends how the site is designed and what technologies are used. The benefit of dynamic sites are that you can make them yourself when you want to, as opposed to static sites which require knowledge of HTML to update (we are happy to maintain your site for you).

Throughout the process of creating your web site we always keep in mind that it has to be easy to use by any visitors. We don't produce sites with loads of complicated menus, or hundreds of options on a single page, or any with obscure ways of navigating. We just produce simple, functional, and user-friendly web sites.
